Survival systems can refer to many different things, but in general, survival systems are those systems in place that save lives in life-threatening emergencies. To be full effective, they must be organized and rehearsed for the best survival rate.

Survival Systems

Survival systems can mean many different things. However, in general the term refers to ways to survive in certain situations.

Survival systems are the training and the methods of surviving dangerous situations, evacuations and more. A system of survival, therefore, will give a person a series of steps and information to survive in the face of danger or in unfamiliar and potentially dangerous environments.

What are some examples of survival systems? One example involves instructing pilots, aircrew and passengers on how to escape an aircraft when the aircraft is in danger. Another similar example would be lifeboat safety. Organizations exist that periodically check lifeboats and offer training on the usage of lifeboats.

Training on life saving techniques is important not only to learn but to also stay current. Life saving techniques follow a specific pattern of instruction, which makes them organized. Organized methods of instruction make training individuals on a regular basis easier. Live saving techniques, therefore, follow a formula of instruction.

Survival systems can also mean other things. New situations that few people have experienced or that people have never experienced could fall under a life saving formula. These types of formulas and instructions are widely available online.

One big recent example of this was the Y2K scare. Some people assumed there would be massive chaos once the clock struck twelve midnight on the first day of the year 2000. It was possible to find many sources of information on how to survive Y2K. Some people have developed survival guides for situations that they feel will occur in the future. For example, it is possible to find guides on how to survive on Mars.

Other survival systems include how to survive a nuclear war, how to survive in the woods and more. Some of these guides are based on actual experience and some are simply based on guess work.
